ASR Sugars Tate & Lyle Refinery
CASE STUDY
Elm Site Services were chosen to carry out demolition and refurbishment works to Tate & Lyles Thames Refinery Head Offices under JCT Intermediate Contract Elm Site Services also assumed the role of the CDMC for the works.
Located on the first floor of a portal framed building and following a refurbishment and demolition survey, we removed all traces of asbestos and lead paint under controlled conditions.
Structural and non-structural walls were demolished, new brick partitions built, 75 extra- large windows were replicated and installed to match the existing configuration
Category A fit out was carried out including all new first floor drainage, pumped floor screeds, tanking, decorations, fabrication and installation of new fire door sets, construction of new test facility laboratory etc.
This project was not without it’s challenges but was successfully delivered on time and within budget.
